Oceans, lakes and rivers

As a result of OACM’s global presence, OACM is creating and expanding its White Flag CSMA (Certified Safe Marine Areas) – plastic-free zones below and at sea surface level - which enables creation of safe environments for humans as well as marine and aquatic life, where timely action of plastic waste and debris physical extraction prevents new development of micro plastic. For this purpose, OACM only utilizes specially trained divers. CSMA areas are being closely monitored and inspected annually in order to maintain and preserve these certified areas. Any ocean, lake or river marine area can become CSMA certified.

By 2025, OACM SOS conservancy program will be integrated in 140 nations worldwide – globalization of OACM’s SOS conservancy program and unification of sustainable systems represents making the first step towards the substantial visual and efficient improvement regarding the reduction of currently existing plastic waste in our oceans, lakes and rivers.

OACM - EOMD scale (Ocean Extracted Marine Debris measuring system) – a unique method which will for the first time ever provide all relevant information and a concrete measurement tool to assess the collected plastic waste. This will be implemented by the OACM SOS conservancy program and the numbers will be provided annually on the Plastic Ocean Summit, global conferences and fairs. Accomplished results will then be used via Global Environment Promotion Network (GEPN) in order to raise global awareness and prevent future pollution.

How to proceed with OACM?

Governmental support, contract or corporate collaboration

When agreement through governmental or corporate collaboration regarding initial CSMA certification is achieved, OACM creates a customized SOS conservancy program for the entire area in question and initiates the operation proceedings.

First level of White Flag CSMA high certification

The first national CSMA certification according to the OACM protocol is organized in collaboration with the head of state, president, prime minister or a member of royal family.

Expanding the CSMA areas with OCEPS and GEPN Integration

After the official first certification, OACM proceeds with CSMA certification and integration of OACM SOS conservancy program and expands CSMA marine areas across a coastline, country, and marine destinations.
